Dr. Sallie Hildebrandt, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice in La Jolla, California, where she specializes in the treatment of depression, sexual and marital therapy, and evaluation of Bariatric surgery patients. Other specializations include cognitive, behavioral and interpersonal treatment of depression, anxiety, and stress disorders. In the past she was a co-investigator for numerous investigational drug protocols.

Dr. Hildebrandt has spoken extensively around the country since 1983 including the Commencement Address at the Wright Institute, Berkeley, CA, 2003; numerous presentations on Prescriptive Authority at the CPA and APA Conventions; and presentations on psychological aspects of Bariatric surgery as well as depression, stress, and sexual dysfunctions.

She is the 2011 President of the California Psychological Association, the past President of the San Diego Psychological Association, and past President of CPA (2004). She worked to found the new CPA Division V of Clinical Psychopharmacology in 2005. She has been active in APA and served on APA Council for 3 years.

Awards include the APA Heiser Award for Advocacy, APA Federal Advocacy Coordinator of 2010, AAP Benefactors' Circle, CPA Silver Psi, CPA Advocacy Award, SDPA Fellow, and APA Fellow of Division 31. Dr. Hildebrandt was People to People Ambassadors delegation leader to the People's Republic of China in November 2005, to South Africa in May 2009, and to India in October 2010. She will be leading a group to Rwanda in November 2011.
